Advice to pass CSEC Mathematics Exams The Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate(CSEC) Mathematics Examination consists of three papers.  1. Paper 1- Multiple Choice   2. Paper 2-Structured. 3. School-based Assessment(SBA) or Paper III  Each paper has a different weighing on the final mark of 100%.  Paper 1 is  30% Paper 2 is 50% Paper 3/SBA is 20% Once enrolled in a Secondary school, candidates must submit an SBA and do not have to do Paper 3. Best tips for answering CSEC Mathematics multiple-choice questions Always be prepared. You should at least have two freshly sharpened pencil for shading and a sharpener. Walking into the examination with the proper tools gives you extra confidence.  Wear a wristwatch, some examination rooms, do not have clocks and it is easier to watch your own time. Say a prayer when you are seated and take deep breathes. Skim through all the questions as soon as you are told to begin. If you see any repeated questions answer those immediately.
